On this page, I am going to show you some clothes from the high street that are similar to the styles of Ingrid Bergman, Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, Edie Sedgwick, Mary Quant, Debbie Harry and Kate Moss.
I wanted to see if these fashion icons really had made an impact on fashion so I went to modern shops such as Topshop, River Island and Marks and Spencers to find these items..
Ingrid Bergman
This Topshop dress reminds me of Ingrid Bergman's style, as it is smart and sophisticated in a classic black and white. I have combined it with white pearls; a favourite of Audrey Hepburns.
Audrey Hepburn
This shirt is also elegant and neat, it is similar to Ingrid Bergman's style if I paired it with a smart blazer but without, it resembles Audrey Hepburn's chic style. I also found a silk scarf which was one of Audrey's favourites - both of these are from Marks & Spencers.
Brigitte Bardot
This look resembles Brigitte Bardot. One of Brigitte's favourite fashion statements was a feminine summer dress and this Topshop dress is perfect for her style. Brigitte also wore hats such as the one above to finish off her summer look.
Edie Sedgwick
Edie Sedgwick loved wearing a stripy t-shirt and tights. I found this top in River Island and it reminded me of Edie straight away!

The following styles are similar to Kate Moss'. She has a very relaxed but well thought out style consisting of items such as denim jackets, shorts, loose t-shirts and scarves - all of these items are from Topshop and River Island.
So, after my search for clothing items inspired by the fashion icons I have focused on for my blog, I have discovered that the icons are still remembered in modern fashion! It shows the impact they have had on the industry and the influence they have on high street fashion.
